Daily Bread, Daily Grace

Give us today our daily bread.

Matthew 6:11

Jesus teaches us to ask for daily bread — not weekly, not monthly, not “enough to feel secure for the next year.” Daily. It’s a rhythm of trust, not a stockpile of certainty.

Seeking God first displaces worry about food, money, and status.

Daily bread is not simply food; it is the grace God gives for this day. Not tomorrow’s burdens. Not yesterday’s regrets. Today’s portion.

The yellow tulip — bright, open, receiving sunlight — embodies this posture. It doesn’t store light. It receives what is given. It opens to what is offered. It trusts the rhythm of morning.

God’s provision is not merely enough; it is timely. He gives what we need when we need it. And He teaches us to live in the freedom of “today.”
