Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9
I needed to hear that on this Monday; how about you?
Just think about it… Wherever you go, whatever you encounter, whenever you are anxious, God is with you, right there next to you…
He has your back.
You know something? I think this is the shortest post I’ve ever written, for there really isn’t anything else to say, except maybe… Thank you Lord God!
Just what I needed to hear today! A perfect example of “Less is More”. Thanks, Don!
Have you read my journal for Monday, Don? As we live on opposite sides of the world that is not likely but the whole entry was basically “Thank you, Jesus.” On Monday I climbed and conquered a mountain of fear which I have been facing for the last ten years. And each step I took, holding onto Jesus’ hand made it melt away before me! Now I know I can do it again (which is a good thing as I have to make the return journey, but somehow the mountain looks more like a rounded hill than the steep rocky obstacle it was on Monday morning.) I told myself ‘I can do all things through God who strengthens me’. And I can! Because of Jesus! I sang him some spontaneous songs during the tough bits, cried a couple of tears – of gratitude more than anything – and am now celebrating our joint achievement! God is good – all the time! Praise his holy name!
Thanks for this post. You are right. There really is nothing else to say! Thank you, Lord.
Mandy, thank you so much for this remarkable comment: Wow!
I must confess that I missed that post, but I’m off to find it now… Thank you!
Hi Don I didn’t post it. It’s in my personal journal. But just an amazing God-incidence that we both experienced the same love and presence of God on the same day. 🙂
I sort of found that out 🙂
I could have used him by my side yesterday. I’m looking for a new (to me) car – hate the whole cary-buying experience. One of my big needs is a vehicle with good ground clearance because of the dirt roads I have to drive on (deep ruts), so the salesman offered to take me to the local forest to see how it handled. Instad of dirt roads with deep ruts we came across ice-and-snow covered roads with deep ruts. He got us out about 4 miles then went to turn around so I could drive back, what he thought was a turnaround spot was a pile of snow covering a ditch – we got stuck! I saw the humor in the whole thing, but he was mostly embarassed and upset. We could have, literally, used the hand of God at that moment, instead we got a ride back and left the car in the ditch.
Oh my- that’s a story to tell for sure. I’m sure when the salesman tells the story in the future he will want to change at least one little detail 😊
