I never thought I’d see the day when I posted a Bill Maher clip, but that day has well and
truly come. At least for me, Mr. Maher ceased to be amusing years ago, and is now little more than a political hack devoid of any original thinking.
Don’t get the wrong idea, nothing has changed, but I will give Mr. Maher credit where credit is due, for he has said out loud what our friends on the far-left are thinking, but dare not say in public: We need the economy to crash to get rid of Trump.
Check this video out…
You want the economy to tank Mr. Maher? You don’t care how many millions suffer the loss of their livelihoods, Mr. Maher? You don’t care about families that can’t feed their children, Mr. Maher? You don’t care how many lose their homes, Mr. Maher, as long as your politics are imposed on the Nation?
And sir, you have the audacity to call that “saving democracy”?
I’ve said over and over in this column that I am not a fan of Donald Trump; I did not vote for him. But I also do not hate him, for hatred requires way too much effort and only leads to bad places. Yet those who do hate Mr. Trump are all around us, they have nothing else going for themselves except to hate Trump more than the next guy: Impressive. Mr. Maher, a world-class Trump-hater has shown us where this all leads
Haven’t we had about enough hate already?

I believe the left would rather see the USA blown up, rather than have to thank President Trump for preventing us from being blown up.
It seems like that, doesn’t it?
Wow. I had a temptation to share this on one of the Maher’s groups I am in but I don’t want you and possibly the good people here to get the grief they would send. You are one of my best friends and I love you like a brother to do that. The pot over there is stirred enough. Among the memes is Trump as a baby being spoon fed by the German chancellor. Yes, that disturbed even my warped mind. You did not drink the Kool aid but you got (at least) me looking at the bottled water.
One interesting thing is that Bill has also gone after the Democratic left. Saying they are being too soft on issues. Worried about hurting people’s feelings and calling out celebrities. He says the GOP goes forward and if it hurts others do so be it. They are trying to run a country. He thinks the demos don’t come together like the Republicans do. Basically a little more thicker skinned. A week
week before, Bernie was on there and said the Republicans did not win, the Democrats lost it.
Back to Bill, yes I like to watch his show on HBO. Some things I can connect with as I may be one of the more left sided members, but he has his moments always saying his Father is a Orangatang and calls him a “Whiny Little Bitch” which is starting to be in the same breath as the old Dolly Parton jokes Carson would do. Plus States get more senators based on population. For those not familiar with him, Bill is a card carrying atheist and want marijuana legalized in all States not just for medical use.
I just want to make sure he wasn’t being sarcastic? Also, could you imagine if Rush Limbaugh said that about Obama a few years back?
The hate is out there and it is getting out of hand on both sides.
Then there is Stephen Colbert……
I’ll save Mr. C for another rant 😊
I appreciate your not sharing this on a Maher group site. Although it would be a nice traffic spike, I don’t allow obscenity here so not many of their remarks could be posted. You are quite right, the hate is over the top on both sides, and it never goes to a good place. We really need to knock it off and solve problems, but of course, this is an election year and… well… you know…
Appreciate your take!
I’m definitely not a Trump fan but I have never seen such hatred of a president.
Obama had his share too.
I just listened to a New Books in Public Policy podcast interview with David Faris on his book “It’s Time to Fight Dirty: How Democrats can Build a Lasting Majority in American Politics” and I was amazed at the lengths they are willing to go.
It reminds me of Pharaoh who was so focused on getting his way he led his country to ruin.
The money-making elites prove just how little they actually care about those they purport to care about when they say stuff like this. They profess to be all about the people, but are really about power and silencing dissent.
I think you’re right Wally, sad two say.
