I came across this picture on the net and I thought I’d share it. I don’t have anything clever to say about it other than it strikes me as being kind of inspirational.
What I see in this picture is a rising sun shining through morning mists in a forest, or could it be near a great and wonderful Garden that has many trees? A time of reflection and stillness that is dominated by light from above, a light that is chasing all darkness away.
Yes, it strikes me as inspirational, maybe even metaphorical. It strikes me as filled with hope and yearning for all that is pure, wholesome and good in creation. It strikes me as a picture of the hope that we share in Christ.
Well, however you might it, there is something hopeful in this picture, and my hope is that you all enjoy a wonderful Lord’s Day to day!

Reblogged this on Song Bird! and commented:
I love this picture too!
I love so much I’ll reblog. I agree it’s like when Jesus comes and the light beams out so bright and warm in our lives! thanks for posting it!
Thank you
Good morning Don..don’t ya love auto correct? lol
Not so much; it’s less accurate than I am, and that’s saying something!
LOL!
This beautiful picture resonates with several echoes for me. I recently read a post ‘Exploring Spirituality’ on a blog by Expectantly Listening. She was writing several definitions of Spirituality. In one of them the word ‘nakedness’ leapt out at me and i thought of your recent experience on holiday at the naturist beach and how close you felt to God in the elements and in your nakedness. It also brought to mind the song “I stand complete in you” by Chris Bowater:
‘God of grace I turn my face to You, I cannot hide
My nakedness, my shame, my guilt are all before Your eyes
Strivings and all anguished dreams, in rags lie at Your feet
And only grace provides the way
For me to stand complete.
And Your grace clothes me in righteousness
And Your mercy covers me in love
And life adorns and beautifies
I stand complete in You.’
In the picture above, the gentle light of God shines into all our dark places and covers us with Love.
Thank you for the continuation of this theme for me.
Julia
Thank you Julia, for you’ve tied this all together so beutifully
I can only imagine this verse: “And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb.” – Revelation 21:23
A glorious vision!
Truly an awesome shot!
Thank you!
