Life can be hectic and loud, but all of us need some peace and quiet at times. It helps us to recharge, to relax and to calm our thoughts. Yes, we all need a little peace and quiet, a little break you might say…
We need a little peace and quiet to talk things over with our Lord; to pray, to give thanks.
Today, if you hear his voice,
do not harden your hearts as you did at Meribah,
as you did that day at Massah in the desert,
where your fathers tested and tried me,
though they had seen what I did.
Psalm 95: 7b-9
We’ll never hear His voice in our hectic and loud world, we all need a little peace and quiet…

I feel for my husband today who returned to work after the Christmas break. It is summer here in Australia, the way, and the whole country goes into a near coma for January. My parents had both kids today and I have had a day of rest. Well, rest of sorts. I’ve been reading blogs. We’ve just been away and staying on the waterfront and every night I’d watch the sun set over the water and behind the hills and it was so recharging, relaxing. We all need to step outside the box we live in and spread our wings to experience God in his amazing splendor, his expansiveness. He is the alpha and the omega.
Amen
