“but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst.Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life”
— John 14:4
If you’ve ever been really thirsty and parched, you can see how wonderful if would be to never thirst again. Imagine being able to go through life never feeling empty and alone again!
I’ve been searching through a lot of blogs lately just looking to see what’s out there. I’ve run into a disturbing pattern in some, mostly on another blog site which deals mainly in images rather than text. There are hundreds of young people on that blog site, young people who are obviously intelligent and creative, but who are completely lost, depressed, alone and filled with a desperate desire to be accepted by someone. One of them that I saw yesterday is by a kid who claims to be 18, who has two things on his blog: Pictures of naked women and screams for attention or really… help. He tells about wanting to die, about the benefits of cutting himself and asks why nobody cares. This blog site has a button called “ask me anything” where a member can hit the button and post a question or comment… and you should see what they post! Hate, encouragement to kill himself and all sorts of garbage like that.
Can you imagine being this messed up?
People, there are too many out there who desperately need Jesus Christ, and they need Him right now!
Just think about what we have to offer: A spring of water welling up into eternal life, so they need never thirst for love again!

We need to pray that loving Christians will find that blog and press that button and begin a dialogue with him. Maybe through loving questions, someone can reach him or maybe, since you can see other’s questions and comments, someone would see the Christian reaching out, and be curious. You just never know how God would use such an attempt. I love when a find an obvious non-believer and we become friends–they start following my blogs and a seed is planted. It is up to God then to make it grow, but we cannot be afraid to plant that first seed by not reaching out and into those darker places. Just my opinion….this hurting world makes me so sad–especially now for our teen culture. Thank you for posting this!! As always, I love your blog. Skye
Thanks Skye, great point!
If you do not believe there is a ministry for you to serve in – leading someone to the truth and the love of Christ is a big job. Try to be a mentor and love someone that is lost in this world.
May God lead us all to help and show his light in this troubled world. We have lost souls to save my friends.
Yep, “miles to go before I sleep…”
Wow. You know, I was just thinking on that Scripture last night! As a mom of 2 teens, I also have been contemplating the battles they & their peers find themselves in. They really need our prayers and our love. Sometimes we are the only Bible they may ever read, the only Jesus they ever see. May they come away thirsty!
Amen!
Saddest thing reading your post: when you are messed up there is no before or after. There just “is”
Yes, so very sad, so many to reach out to…
Reblogged this on onethingremains.
Oh my gosh! Have you commented this young man with the hope and love of Christ?
Yep, got told to F off… Very sad, but it works like that some times, and requires serious prayer!
I agree. The word never returns void. Praise God you were faithful in sharing the truth.
Thank you
God bless!
