A new work week begins today, where will the journey take us? Some will drift along not having any notion of what it will bring, while others have a plan for each and every day. None of us knows for sure how the week will turn out…
Without a doubt, there will be a surprise or two. The boss might throw you a curve, or the kids or the spouse; how will we respond? Will the weather ruin our plans? Will there be trouble in the Middle East?
I can’t say.
The way we react to these or any other possibilities depends greatly upon the road we choose to follow. Are we on the road of the day-to-day, or are we on the road of life? The road of life is our journey with Jesus Christ, and I’m sorry to say it, but anybody who thinks the road of life does not involve Jesus Christ is sadly mistaken!
This week, as you make your way, be sure you are following Jesus along the path. Be sure that in all that you do, you are walking in His footsteps, for this will determine the outcome of the journey, not only for eternity, but for the week. When those surprises and curves come your way, walking with Jesus will affect greatly your responses, not to mention your priorities. For instance, if you should encounter something along the way that is hurtful or bad, He will be there for comfort and aid. If you encounter a setback of some sort, having your eyes upon Jesus will put the impact into perspective and cause you to understand how unimportant the irritations of this world really are. Walking down the path of life with Jesus Christ is a victorious journey, even when everything seems to go wrong because as you walk through this week’s adventures, you will be walking in the very presence of God Himself.

I love the photo. Did you take it? Post was great, too.
Thank you. Yes, I took it Friday at Mount Vernon; it’s the path that leads from the farms to the wharf on the Potomac…
It is really beautiful. It’s been a long time since I’ve been to Mount Vernon. I live down south a bit in Fredericksburg.
