The Life Project is an award free zone. Oh, don't get me wrong, I appreciate the thought more than you can imagine, but for me it's a matter of conviction, the Lord leading me... or maybe managing me! Your visits, "likes" comments and "follows" are more than enough... really!
One of my favourite psalms
One of mine too, thanks for commenting!
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,”
is the next phrase: it occured to me that we are not so keen of thinking about this:
yet death is a “hairs breadth” away from us on many occasions eg riding my motorcycle into a corner at 50 mph and an approaching car doing the same, from the opposite direction.
We are very mortal and we should be always ready for the Lord ‘s call or return.
We do not fear evil for the Lord is with us (if we are Christians) but I think it would be better to live with a more conscious sense of our mortality than to live as if we are going to live forever, here and now.
Psalm 23 is a very comforting Psalm (and rightly so) but this part is challenging our often too comfortable view of ife in the 21st century.
