…and incompetence exposed!
I simply could not understand what happened to my blog traffic yesterday here on LR; it made no sense whatsoever! My photo blog, “Photo Vistas” enjoyed it highest viewership of all time yesterday, while this blog had its lowest in months. Why even when I was taking a break and had gone several weeks without a post, I had more views than yesterday.
And here I was expecting “hate mail” for yesterday’s post on Hebrews 6!
This morning I realized what I did to drop out of sight… wanna hear it?
I didn’t tag the post! Can you believe it? After doing this for almost 2 years, I forgot to tag a post. (Sometimes I amaze myself at how stupid I can be)
So bloggers, learn from my stupidity:
Double check you posts and make sure you tag them and avoid running them without an appropriate category. Otherwise you’ll hide your light under the proverbial bushel and we won’t be blessed by your work!
PS: I’ll bet I made up for it by sneaking in the shameless plug for my other blog! Yes, friends, blogging can still be fun, even when you mess it up…

Good to know. Thanks for sharing your blunder so we can avoid the same mistake. Now that I think about it, that probably explains why my blog views dropped for a week or so. I was trying to use fewer tags (less than 10). It didn’t work for me. Views cut in half that week. Hmm.

One of these days I’ll figure out how blogging works. In the meantime, I mess it up fairly often!
