Can’t you see Him?

Around here, Fall is breaking out all over the place.  The trees are turning, the temperatures are cooler and pumpkins are in the stores. It has always seemed to me that Fall is a time when God’s creativity is on display like no other time.

He is quite an artist, and He comes up with color schemes that are dazzling to behold and yet there is much more going on…

We know that this glorious season of golds and reds will no last for long.  I just heard a news item on the radio:  Since we have had an unusually dry summer, some scientists believe that the Fall color in our area will much more pronounced than usual, but that it won’t last very long and the leaves will be on the grass instead of in the trees.  Of course this reminds us of the fact that the glory of Fall is really the harbinger of winter, the season when the trees and shrubs will appear to be dead. The winter will be cold, the landscape bleak and there will be days when we will wonder if life will ever return to the hills and fields.

Life will return, and when it does we will again celebrate the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ!

God has shown Himself in His creation.  He has not only demonstrated His great creativity and awesome power, but He has shown us the way of salvation.

It is more than amazing!

For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
