We live in times that are changing rapidly, technology is exploding onto the scene constantly and many people are under the impression that there is almost nothing that hasn’t been changed completely in recent decades.  There may be some truth to this view, but when we examine the basic human condition, this is definitely not the case.  consider this:

Do you rulers indeed speak justly? 
    Do you judge uprightly among men?
No, in your heart you devise injustice, 
    and your hands mete out violence on the earth. 
Even from birth the wicked go astray;
    from the womb they are wayward and speak lies.
Their venom is like the venom of a snake, 
    like that of a cobra that has stopped its ears,
 that will not heed the tune of the charmer, 
    however skillful the enchanter may be.

(Psalm 58:1-5)

Leaders of men who speak with venom; current reality, ancient curse.  There is nothing new for people on this earth, we live in a fallen and deceitful world… nothing new there.

It is for this reason that although our methods and terminology may change, the message of the Gospel remains the same as it has been since the time of Christ Himself.  It is still fresh and powerful.  It still changes lives.  It still is the hope and shining light of the world; all the rest is darkness and is lost.
