I have been a denier on the subject of the Mayan Calendar and the end, I have even mocked the notion on this blog: I now realize that I was wrong.
I have been looking around the internet, listening to late-night talk shows and reading important items in the press; none of which was very convincing. Now I have seen it with my own eyes!
Here is the proof!!! This is a hydrangea bush on the north side of my house.
Another view…
As anyone who has ever visited my house in the summer (and it’s still spring!) can tell you, this bush has not bloomed before. I have lived here since 2006, and it has never had even a single bloom during that time. Now there is another hydrangea nearby, look at this:
This bush blooms every year, but there’s only a few white flowers on it. This is a few more than normal. Compare it to the plant that never blooms; amazing.
Now, just to be sure that you see carefully, here is the normal flower:
…and here is the flower on the bush that has never bloomed:
Can you see the difference? The bush that never bloomed has done so in this fateful year of 2012… and the blooms are RED!!! Obviously the world is coming to an end this December because the bush that never blooms has now bloomed more abundantly that any of the others, and the flowers are the color of BLOOD!!! (sort of) If that is not proof, I don’t know what is! I think I am going to write a book, make a DVD and get on Coast to Coast, I’ll bet the National Enquirer will pay a small fortune for the photos!
Now, don’t even think about being a denier like I used to be; we have to get ready for the end. We’ll all buy a bunch of food, maybe 10 years’ worth to hide in the basement. We’ll also run out and buy a bunch of guns and ammo. We’ll build walls around the house and some camo suits and stuff like that.
I’m not really sure what use that stuff will be when the world ends, but remember, I’m new at this!
Oh, I almost forgot: There was a dead bird in our pond this morning; see, that proves it again!!! (and the Cubs won yesterday, surely that proves the end is near)
OK, fine, be a kill joy. Of course all of the above is utter nonsense! The world will end what God decides it will, and I highly doubt that the Mayan Calendar will have anything to do with it. In the meantime, I’m not going to spend an instant worrying about it. I have an assignment, the one the Lord Jesus Christ gave to us and that is to go and make disciples… and that is what I’m going to do from now until He either takes me home, or brings this world to a conclusion. With this plan, I need not worry or sweat about the details; however He has it figured out will be just fine with me!

Great post! I think it was in the news a few weeks ago that a larger Mayan calendar was found. It seems the 2012 one just ran out of room. Oops! LOL!
I think they must need a contingency plan… kind of like they did the first it was supposed to have run out in 1997!
LOLOL! AWESOME!!! I LOVE IT! And OMGOSH! Is Coast to Coast still on the radio????? I used to LOVE listening to that in the 80’s & 90’s !
It is still on the air, I hear the commercials for it. Haven’t listened in ages.
Great post. I wonder if Harold Camping grows hydrangeas?
I don’t know, but if he has one that’s behaving like mine the commentary should be a lot of laughs. Funny isn’t it? My “evidence” is as good as so much that we hear from people who want to “prove” things like this.
Our human spirit can always find evidence for what we want to believe. It is good that the Holy Spirit provides a divine perspective.
Quite true!
