Recently I was wracking my brain over a business challenge; some people would call it a “problem”. I was thinking about it day and night and it was honestly starting to affect other things I was doing and not for the better. It just seemed like something that I couldn’t figure out.
After a few days it started to be something that I just couldn’t let go of: I’m not accustomed to a problem that I can’t solve or figure out…
Of course, that isn’t to say that it’s never happened before, it’s just that I’m not accustomed to it!
Eventually, some words came to mind: “Come unto me all who are weary and heavy laden…”
That’s when it hit me: I was trying to solve something entirely on my own… I have learned to know better than this! In my prayer time, I hadn’t gotten around to bringing this thing up; I guess that I wanted this issue for my own… dumb!
That’s when the air began to clear; that’s when suddenly I had the solution. All I needed to do was take the problem to Jesus Christ. Of course that isn’t to say that Jesus is a kind of “easy button” but when I followed my own advice and take everything to Him, I had the answer. It’s a hard answer and will require a fair amount of work, but it’s the answer and I won’t be traveling all alone. Take your cares to God and let Him guide you through life; don’t hog all of your problems to yourself!

Amazing how it works so well, but we try so hard to do it our way… and our way is so lonely and incomplete without God.
So true! Thanks for sharing
Funny, i have written a blog on this same type of issue Don, as i have been struggling with some business problems myself in our nonprofit. Today i will be posting another blog along these same lines as to my answer Jesus gave me today. Love and appreciate your writings Don. Be Blessed.
Thank you so much. It is amazing how many have had these experiences and that should serve to give hope to those who are facing problems who haven’t quite been able to see through to the other side yet; hang in there and draw near to Christ everybody!
The doubting Thomas’ would say you are talking rubbish, Don. But he who feels it knows it. Only he or she who have experienced God’s divine providence can testify of such.
Thanks a lot for sharing. God bless you.
You are right about that Noel, the things of God are foolishness to the world, but when we draw near to Him our viewpoint sure does change! Thanks for all you do my friend!
