Looking Up

How often do you look up?

If you think about it, we look around and we look down, but we seldom look up.  I wonder what we’re missing in the process.  Are there UFO’s buzzing around up there?  Who’d notice?

OK, maybe that’s not the best example, but you get the idea I’m sure…

I wonder how often all of us don’t notice a lot of things because we aren’t looking up…

Looking up can mean more than one thing for it doesn’t need to be understood in a literal sense, it could also be understood in a spiritual sense.  If we don’t look up from time to time, it’s pretty easy to get bogged down in this world.  We might even forget where we are supposed to be headed or who it is that we serve.

Maybe if we looked up more often we might avoid some of the mistakes that set us back in our walk with Jesus Christ, and maybe if we glanced up at the trees above our heads we might discover who’s watching us from up there.

  1. Good thoughts.

“If then you were raised with Christ [see Colossians 2:12], seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.” Colossians 3:1,2
