Where are you going?

Where are we headed?

This will certainly have an effect on which aircraft we board for the trip!  The plane at the gate is headed for Houston, the one to the left is going to Spain…

The planes in the picture to the left are going to domestic (US) destinations, while below that is a plane that goes to Italy…

Or Ireland…

As Christians, is our destination just a matter of hopping a flight?

Hardly!

But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,  who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.

(Philippians 3:20-21)

Ultimately we are citizens of a greater Kingdom with a hope that is vastly superior to anything this world can offer; let all of us give it the priority that it deserves!

Would day-to-day life be better if we kept our citizenship and destination in mind, thought and deed every day?

I would imagine so…
