Peace at the end of the day

As the sun begins to set, as the crazy pace of another day begins to wind down and as we begin to find our way back home it’s time to turn our hearts toward the source of peace.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

(Philippians 4:6-7)

Yes, this is a time to turn our hearts to our Lord in prayer, praise, thanksgiving and supplication.

Arriving home after a long day with our heads spinning, filled with stress and the rush of the day to greet the family really isn’t the best way to begin the evening…

Arriving home filled with the peace of God, filled with hope, thanksgiving and praise; not to mention love will go a long way in cementing our most important relationships together.  Our families deserve this, and our Christian testimonies to our families require it.

So, when quitting time comes and the day has been long, why not take a little time and space to have one more meeting, this time with the Prince of Peace, then go home to your family filled with the peace that transcends all understanding.
