“Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God.”
(Matthew 5:8)
A person who is ‘pure in heart’ is someone who is going to place a high priority on doing things the right way. This is not a person who is always looking for the short-cut to fame and fortune, but rather a person who wants to do the right thing even when nobody is looking. You might even say that this is an endangered species in our modern world!
By contrast, there are those who are trash talkers, who are looking to get ahead no matter what that requires, people who not only cut corners, but who don’t care who gets hurt in the process. In short, they are all about themselves at any price.
Such people are to be pitied, for they will never get what they are really looking for; peace, acceptance and love: how terrible…
The pure in heart on the other hand, will see God. It may be that they will see God because they are looking for Him. But it seems more likely to me that they will see God because there is room in their lives for Him. What do you think?

I’d say that’s about right.
Whether the OT or the NT God has desired people’s hearts – “Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith,” (1 Timothy 1:5)
A pure heart is fill with love. Love conquers all.
