Sharing

“Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.” (Romans 12:13)

One of the hardest things to teach a child is that they should share things with others.  I can remember my kids, when they were little, throwing their biggest tantrums when another kid would play with one of their toys, even when it was a toy my kid had forgotten all about!

Teens are better about this, but sometimes they struggle with sharing too.  Funny thing: my kids always seemed to assume that whatever was mine was theirs.  Would they share their chips or candy with me?  No way!  That’s mine!

A Christian is called upon to share with their brothers in need.  How do we react? Is your reaction pleasing to the Lord, or does He see you as a child?

May all of us share in a way that is pleasing to the Lord, and that brings glory to God!
